About 1.5 GB on-device
The beta model is a quantized download, stored locally. You choose when to download it and can use the keyboard without AI.
Battery and heat are real
Running a model uses more power than ordinary typing and may warm your phone. Wi-Fi-only download and a ready-to-delete model are part of setup.
English first
Fix, Rewrite, Shorter, Tone and Custom start with English. Translate is limited to English ↔ French after language testing; unsupported languages are rejected safely.
Offline means a boundary
Transforms are designed to run without a network request. Keyline does not offer cloud fallback, sync, chat, or a hidden web view.
Open-source foundationsBuilt on a mature open-source IME architecture. Licenses and notices will ship with the beta.
Clear permissionsThe keyboard needs the permissions Android shows for an input method. No permission is a secret shortcut.
Text is ephemeralSource and generated text are cleared after a request by default. Optional diagnostics persist metadata only.
